Richard A. Gilbert, Sr., 75, a retired electrician for Local 99 passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at Kent Hospital. He was the husband of the late Leona B. (Snookie) Gilbert. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph R. and Elizabeth B. (Bouiler) Gilbert. Richard was the beloved father of Richard A. Gilbert, Jr., Raymond M. Gilbert, Rhonda L. Schmidt (John), Malinda Sherman and Shane Gilbert; loving step father of Tracy Dracup (Mr. Bill); loving grandfather of Brian, Melissa, Vanessa, Carissa, Justin and Raymond, Jr.; brother of Roger Bouchard, Rose DeSimone and the late Joseph Bouchard, Mary Bouchard and Roland Gilbert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
