He was the beloved husband of Jessica A. (Bergeron) Barboza and the loving father of John Edward Barboza, Jr. and Jackson Noah Barboza. He was the son of Yvonne I. Barboza and John Mattia. John was a Journeyman Electrician since 1999 with IBEW Local 99. He was the brother of Ollie Barboza and Chanel Green and the godson and nephew of Pamela Driver.
