He was the husband of Veronica T. (French) Barber and father of Scott B. Barber, Jr. of Chepachet. Scott was born in Providence, a son of Cheryl (Morris) Arel and her husband Leo of Chepachet and Russell Barber of Las Vegas. He was a self employed carpenter and a member of IBEW Local 99. Scott was the stepson of Joseph Irons, brother of Brad Barber and Joseph Irons, stepbrother of Lori Dussault and Sherrie Irons.
